A rebranding journey

For quite some time our website has felt held together by band-aids or maybe some super sticky glue, that gets all over your fingers every time you touch it. The site is WordPress with Pro Photo, with Elementor on top on some of the pages (highly NOT recommended) and my PP version is outdated, no longer supported. I also have a pile of pages that don’t connect to anywhere, and some content that was written before my first grader was born.

Mostly it still works, which is really why I’ve haven’t dedicated time to redesign it.

Recently, I’ve decided to simplify our services and to change the business name. When I put all these things together, I have to admit it’s time for a new website. I hesitate to say new brand because while I’ll be putting together new branding elements (color palette, logo, ect) the core of the brand is staying the same.

We still will serve women entrepreneurs and creatives. Our mission is still to collaborate and create beautiful simple strategic websites, always listening to each client’s needs and voice.

I’m writing this post to invite you along on the journey. I thought I’d share the experience since many of you go through at least part of it, in redesigning and strategizing for a new website.

I’ll be going through this process while continuing to work on our client projects, so it will be slower than if I was dedicated to just this. I’m also going to follow exactly the process I take each of you through for my own website, hoping this will tell me if there is anything I can smooth out in the process.

If you are interested in working together, we are still accepting new clients as we work to rebrand our business. We have two openings left for 2023 start dates. Book a call if you’d like to learn more.

Stay tuned for more on our rebranding. I’ll share a little each week.
