When I spoke with Emily about ideas for engagement photos, she told me about the tradition of burying the bourbon. She read about it in Southern Living Magazine. A month before your wedding, you bury an unopened bottle of bourbon near your ceremony site. It is supposed to bring good weather on your wedding day. Plus you get to dig it up and drink it, if you like, at your wedding! Murray Hill in Leesburg, Virginia, was kind enough to let us use their grounds.
Emily & Jake are a fun, creative couple, who are putting tons of detail planning into their special day. They looked around at venues all over. When they pulled into Murray Hill, they both knew they found the place. Murray Hill has amazing natural feel, an elegant vintage barn, acres and acres of land, and a bit of southern charm.
Thanks Emily for your incredible idea for this portrait session!
