Our first Web Design VIP Day
Last month we launched our new VIP Day Web Design Intensive service, and had a great response! We had our first VIP Day client a few weeks ago, and I wanted to share the experience here.
Our client, Angie, choose to use the day to do a refresh of her website. In 2020, we worked with Angie to design a new website. While still liking her website, she felt it needed a few tweaks, as sometimes happens when a business grows or changes. Angie now specializes in families and portraits, so we wanted to the website to clearly represent this.
Over the course of the day together, we removed any references to weddings and engagements, updated her portfolios, added new images throughout, redesigned the home page header to have clear call to actions, and updated her written content to match her brand today. We also added more testimonials throughout her website.
For years, clients have come back to me for changes to their website, and we used to write a list of changes, give the client an hourly estimate and then get the changes done over the next few weeks.
The difference with our Web Design Intensives is that clients get everything done in one day, and we get better results because of the interaction. Both myself and my client commit to being reachable during business hours on the intensive day. As soon as I finish with part of the project, I let the client know for a review. We can hop on Zoom or just chat back and forth to get the website exactly right. We can try out different ideas, and collaborate on the best strategy for their brand, all in real time.
