About Me

I just love what I do. I first discovered photography almost 20 years ago, with a film SLR and my high school dark room. I went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in art and photography. During college, I swore to a friend I would always shoot film. Four years ago, I switched to Nikon digital gear.

For the past five years I have been photographing professionally, going full-time in early 2008. I photograph weddings, babies, families, and pregnancy. When I am not photographing for a client, I am often capturing my toddler, or taking landscapes as we explore the northwest.

I have an amazing energetic little girl, a darling hubby, and two cats. We live in the suburbs, just outside Portland. I'm a bit of a geek and can often be found behind my computer. I love nature, especially the beach, but also have an inner Jersey girl in me that comes out in odd ways.

Tiff & Adam Sneak Peak

Tiff & Adam got married at Bridal Veil Lakes in Corbett, Oregon on Monday June 21st. It’s so difficult to pick one from hundreds of photos, but I want to do quick sneak peaks for all my brides this week. I have chosen another first look. We were at Bridal Veil Lodge, which is charming. I am not usually a b&b type of person but this place made me want to grab my hubby for a romantic getaway. Originally the plan was to use the lawn behind the home for the first look, but Tiffani realized she didn’t want to get her dress dirty (at least before the wedding), so we used the front porch instead.

There are some photos I post that I know are must loves. This is not one of those. I’m a bit hesitant putting it up because I know some people will hate it. I adore it though. I love Adam’s hand on her arm, the blown out highlights of the flowers, the soft textures of the bride and groom against the rough awning of the roof. My fav part… Tiff wiping the tears.

Rebecca & Dan’s Wedding Sneak Peak

Rebecca & Dan got married on Sunday June 20th at Glenn Otto Community Park in Troutdale Oregon. The park is beautiful, and Rebecca had planned on having an outdoor wedding ceremony. I was driving to Troutdale hoping to see some sudden sun, but I did not. With a steady mist coming down, the ceremony had to be moved indoors. This photo is of the sweet couple, just after they got married. Dan said, “you are shaking like the night I surprised you”, as he held her.

Sirius & Chris Sneak Peak

Here is a quick sneak peak from Sirius and Chris’s wedding at the Aquariva in Portland. The Aquariva is right on the waterfront with a beautiful trail behind it. The bride, Sirius, is leaving her room at the Avalon Hotel and walking towards the riverfront, where Chris waits for her for their first look.
